Ready, aim, Fire!

Does anyone else look at their calender and get depressed?

My favorite day of the month is where you flip the calender to the next month.  Because usually the next month is not nearly as mind boggling busy.  Well until the 2nd, then important events just start flying on there, and if you blink, hmmm well that was a mistake!

Yeah these pictures are clear from Aug. and I'm starting to run out of pictures to blog about.  I never run out of ramblings to say, but pictures, yeah we're gettin low.

Anywho, I've been meaning to put this on here for quite some time.

 Back in August our nieces from the Washington gang came for a visit. And since they were in the neighborhood they decided to go to EFY at the local college.  (which I am totally jealous that I never went to one of those.  I almost stayed the week with them, looked like a ton of fun!)
So our pool is/was at my parents house so we headed over there and had a splashing good time.  And a summer afternoon isn't complete without a cherry spittin contest.

The next day we thought we'd try a new sport and use our fancy pants bows and arrows.

In 90 degree weather, it was a wee bit toasty.

The key to getting a good shot is sticking your tongue out, your welcome.

It was such a good shot that I had to go trapsing through the field to retrieve my arrow, neat huh?

We had a splendid time with the nieces, and next year when they sign up for EFY, I'm signing myself up as well.  I couldn't pull it off this year because I was pregnant and all but next year I'm all over it yo! :)
