Holy smokes where did the time go????!!!
Well I think I have my child diagnosed correctly, she's OCD. She hates having sticky fingers, she always requests hand sanitizer after Wal-mart, and she would spend ALL day in the tub if I allowed it.
So what better way to celebrate her birthday then by going swimming! (not for the nastiness floating in the pool but for the tub aspect.)
We went to Green Canyon, which is about an hour away and it's Feb. so we dressed warm.
But what's not to love about the swimsuit, sweats and cowboy boots combo?
G and G Sellers got her a "mermaid" doll. She wouldn't put her down while we swam.
But seriously, she wouldn't let go of her.
After swimming we came home and had pizza (mostly for the adults, she doesn't eat pizza) and ice cream cake. Because she takes after her father and doesn't like cake. Bring on the ice cream!
Her Elmo card that she got from G and G Pace, that was filled with money for the little girl to spend.
So I got this idea off of pinterest of course. To blow up balloons and put them in your kids room on their birthday for them to wake up to.
Little Miss Lucy wakes up in the night ever since we had Zoey, it's neat.
So on birthday eve Clay filled up the balloons, don't worry he needed to get that air out somehow and it was better this way. :)
I decided that when I woke up to get ready we would toss them in her room and put streamers on her door.
In the process of us doing this she woke up.
FAIL.
Luckily we snuck out in time that she didn't see us. But she sat up in her bed and just looked at the balloons for a couple minutes. And then she was back out.
We put the rest of the balloons in the hall.
So Clay and I both have to work today and she's still asleep, we gotta get crackin.
We grab the camera's, open her door and start kicking the balloons in.
Nothin.
She doesn't wake up.
Hello?! Really?
So we started singing Happy Birthday.
It woke her right up and she was so excited!
Kicking balloons around and throwing them.
And excitedly running around.
And Mom and Dad didn't want to miss out on the fun either!
Then we hurried downstairs to open her present.
A tool set!
Yes we know she's a girl.
Clay got it on a black Friday sale and we figured she would like it.
And guess what, we figured right. :)
And after work we took Lucy to Toys R Us with her cash from G and G Pace and Great GMA, and her $3 coupon from Geoffrey the Giraffe. (Loaded much!)
We spent an hour walking around the store picking up toys. Just before we left we laid them all out and she chose what she wanted.
Of course she went with the pretend food for her kitchen.
And a broom. (she likes it I swear! :)
And a Dora book.
ANNNDDDD after that we went to Orange Leaf, only her favorite ice cream joint ever!
Excuse the red lips. She's a lip licker and it's rather dry here in the frigid air.
Balloons were scattered ALL over my house. We put them in the corner when Lucy went to bed.
But just today Lucy helped me pop them all, she thought it was cool.
She's my favorite 3 year old named Lucy ever!
If you're not part of Geoffrey's Birthday Club I highly suggest it. I love any excuse to go to Toys R Us. :)
