April showers bring apples

She thinks she's sooo funny!  Just looney tuney!

It was April and we had a sunny day.  The kids insisted that it was warm enough to run in the sprinklers. They did question why I didn't get in my swimsuit, when they came running back inside after 30 secs of water play I told them that's why.

"I don't like dogs, I'm more of a cat person.  We don't need a dog. I'd be happier without them."  Mmmhmm so he says, he's more smitten with Bella then I am and she knows it.

A rare event, they're not fighting, they're actually cuddled up and reading a book. Documented!

Ain't no fun unless you're playuing with cousins!

My parents bought some apple trees and I'm a big no tree in the yard kind of lady.
Yeah so birds can land on them and chirp at 5 in the morning, ya no!
More to mow around.
Have to rake up leaves.
Sometimes they die.
I'm good.
BUT, I saw it as an investment in my future to buy some apple trees.  Because Honey Crisp apples are like one of my favorite apples but they cost an arm and a leg. (Recent discovery, pink ladies are also delightful and cost much less.)
So here I go and buy 2 apple trees.
We were busy putting the girls to work during the digging process.

They're twist trees, Honey crisp twisted with sweet 16.  So technically I could have just planted the one tree and it would have pollinated itself, but what if one dies?  We must prepare for such catastrophic events.

Best to add some pretty flowers at the base.

Ta da!
Yes Louise and Ethel shall serve us mighty fine.

Clay's work was doing a competition and we were supposed to have a themed picture.  We dress up daily anyway so why not throw a banner into it?!
Can you believe we didn't win the competition? I know I'm just as confused as you are!
