...we have to tie the truck down so they don't carry it away! So Thurs. night my parents and Lucy, Clay and I went camping. Because many things went wrong we got to our campsite at 10 pm, I'll spare you the details. We pulled in after dark and decided we didn't want to set up the tent in the dark, so our little family slept in our SUV and my parents made a tent on the back of their truck. This explains the rock holding the truck down.
We had Lucy snuggled in between Clay and I and at 11:30 we turned off the flashlights and locked the car doors (this is bear country ya know :) ) Lucy screamed and screamed. So to scare off any bears and to put the bear inside my car to sleep I sang and sang and sang. She woke up many times in the night and we repeated the singing process. ( so glad we weren't in a tent, can't imagine the neighbors being happy about that)
It was sooo cold in the morning! Clay made mountain man breakfast for us-delicious. And their goes my mom sneaking out of the picture, she will be so pleased to know their are pictures of her scattered throughout this post!
That's my dad hooking Wort up to his harness, he's such a strong dog we have to put a harness on him to keep him from attacking the wildlife and innocent bystanders.
This is us getting ready to go on a walk, mostly just to get wild child to take a nap bc at this point she is a grump from keeping us up all night.
What an adorable family, see my mom thinks she can get out the picture if she leans over-false.
O and don't worry my dad has a tight hold on Wort (the hulk dog)
O just some shots of nature, I was having fun with the camera, pretending that I was working for Targhee National Forrest documenting nature and such.
While we were on this bridge a kid came up behind us and talked our ears off, he said the water was warm, we were planning on going tubing later when the weather warmed up so this was hopeful information.
Look at that handsome man! Too bad I got the trees in focus and not him, o well it was all a part of my plan as honorary photographer for the great Targhee National Forrest.
I took this photo and then told Clay that we should hurry and go back to camp pack up our stuff and leave wild child with gma and gpa! :)
Don't worry we didn't.
My plan worked! The bear fell asleep without singing to her!
And then Clay and my mom decided that didn't look comfortable so they moved her to the inside of our car, even tho I told them it was a terrible idea and that she would wake up.
She woke up.
Just another instance where I am right and people should just listen to me.
Poor Lucy was being eaten by mosquitos, so even in the heat we covered her all up. This is after our 2nd walk in another attempt to put the babe to sleep bc some poor listeners woke her up. :)
My sis gave me a swimsuit that her little girl wore with floaties in it, so we could go tubing. The floaties drove Luce crazy but she got used to it being in her face.
We did indeed go floating down that river that, that boy said was warm.
Just so you know, it's not warm. If you go just don't bother shaving your legs, it'll grow right back.
And my sister and her family joined us too, to go float the river. By this time I had lost interest in my camera and put it away, sorry T family. But I did take a mental photo...
here it is
That's my dad by Olivia who is holding the leash to Wort, and Aubrey is pushing Lucy in the stroller, Joeys hanging over the edge, my mom avoided this photo, so did Clay he's talking to my mom, and Keisha and Oliver are leaning against the bridge kissing.
Great photo huh?!
On our way home Lucy Loo fell asleep the whole way home! Holla!
She missed her crib soo much!
