At night when I can't sleep I think of the strangest things, such as...
I picture my brain like this
pitch black (keep reading, no making fun), with a neon light bouncing off the walls, and every time it hits a wall it changes color. (much like screen savers) The changing of the color is the changing of subjects. Are you still with me? Anyway my point is I think to much at night so I can't sleep.
Here's the other problem, this picture was taken from my pillow. Here we have a gigantic window in our bedroom, lovely right? It has a half circle window on the top of it to add character and more appeal, or something. Do you realize how much it costs to block the light out of those? O just around $300+, pocket change. And no I'm not putting a pillow up there, that would look ridiculous. So when it's a full moon (which I swear is more often then not) it shines directly into my wide awake eyes. I live on a street with a bunch of town homes that are just like mine. And a good portion of them have their half circle window blocked out with pillows and blankets. Obviously these windows were like the stupidest idea EVER!
I've always had trouble sleeping in lit areas or loud places. Their is a solution, meet my buddy, I've had him since the 7th grade, he's the one that says star
Slip on of these puppies on and your world is dark. And if you get the right one it won't leave your hair all kinked in the morning, awesome!
There are also ear plugs out there, not my cup of tea tho. Too much pressure in your ear to comfortably fall asleep, that's why you just keep "accidentally" kicking the noisy person next to you with your sharp toenails. And silently pray that the kids bouncing the ball outside will get bored with this game quickly.
And getting your brain to shut off, hmm still working on that one, their are sleep meds, but not a fan of those.
On an entirely different note
I think the munchkin is rather adorable. In my bedroom I have a bag of toys to occupy her with while I do laundry or other odds and ends.
She was sticking her head and shoulders in the bag like in Mary Poppins when she keeps digging things out. Anyway it was super cute, she didn't do it much when I got the camera out tho, stinker.

hey i have a cheap way to cover the stupid windows!! It doesnt look cheap but it is indeed cheap. Take that bendy pipe stuff (I think pvc pipe??) and buy some fabric and cover it up! Works wonders!
