Puttin on the Ritz...

Did you know that song is from 1929?  Around the time that womens fashion was drastically changed, imagine that.  I love fashion!  I love it so much that I try to visualize what people were wearing in every decade.  Whenever we get older patients I look at their birthday and go, oh that was when women wore this.
So being the girl that loves fashion with her every being I was exceptionally excited when we had date night, and made sure to appear fashionable.  The day before I went out and bought a new shirt (my closet was looking drab)  When I got ready for our date, Clay said "Are you wearing that?"  Really Clayton, really?

My parents birthdays are in July so for their birthday we said we would take them to dinner and a movie, Harry Potter specifically.  Since summer is so busy, we finally got around to date night in Sept.
They chose Sizzler for our meal, yum. Salad bar and steak?  Don't mind if I do.

Here are my parents sporting stripes and looking very swank.

After dinner we went to Harry Potter, so good.  The theater probably only had like 20 people in it so you could like totally sprawl out.  Except this one couple came and sat right in front of us, um hello?  Their is  a huge theater and you sit right in front of us (we're just that cool).  So we moved.

After the movie we headed on over to Orange Leaf, only my favorite desseret place ever.

 I'm eating those awesome little ball things filled with juice.  I call them blood blisters, cause they pop like a blister, mmm delightful.  Fruit punch blood blisters are the best flavor, just so you know.

 My selection: Pineapple and coconut, with a tiny bit of pommegranit-to test it out.  And fruit punch blood blisters.  Hands down the best flavor their, well ya know in my opinion

 Clayton's selection: Peanut butter and chocolate, with reeses and crushed up reeses.  Someone has a peanut butter fetish?  I think peanut butter stinks so I'm not as big of a fan.

It was sooo nice to get out and double date with my parents, and ditch the munchkin, whom I love and adore. :)

I just had to add that Lucy eats broccoli, heck yes she's that cool.  Here she is pointing at it and telling it something probably "hey you!  Stay there I'm going to eat you!"

We love little trees at this house.  Next time shrunken heads (brussel sprouts)
