We're going back in time to Thanksgiving.
So it's like a couple weeks before Turkey day and I'm talking to my Mom planning our Thanksgiving. Ya know talking about what I should bring. (as if my personality isn't enough, ha!)
And then I go off to work and I get the distinct impression that we should go to Washington for Thanksgiving to see Clay's family. Which is not cool because we vowed in the winter of 2011 to never do that again, to only travel on sunny summer roads. We had a close call on our way home with icy roads. Too close. Oh well promptings don't usually listen to your excuses.
It's Tues before and the storms are starting to roll in the day before we're planning on leaving. Clay and I left work early and desperately packed as quickly as we could. And we left for Boise around 6pm Tues night. (We also passed all the traffic that was stopped on the other side. Their had been an accident earlier with a semi and a truck. A little girl lost her life, I looked it up while we were driving. That was a horrible idea, I was a basket of tears and stress.)
We made it their safely and we beat the storm. Which was a big one.
As much as I wasn't looking forward to traveling in the winter I'm so glad we did.
Do not under appreciate your family time.
Sweet cousins.
A small makeover.
Oh Tommy you look delicious even when you're not baked!
Never pick up hitchhikers!
Auntie bonding time, or torture as the children call it. Bless technology and it's captivating capabilities!
Future models take note, the left leg must be kicked up flamingo style.
Matchy matchy!
Look look! More cousins!
Another fun tidbit. We didn't tell Clay's parents that we and his sister's family were coming to Thanksgiving.
Surprise!
So glad everyone could keep that a secret!
Happy family
Between pigging out we played games and bonded and such. :)
The sister in laws with our typical photos "aww we're so cute"
"What have we married into?!!" :)
We married into more sisters!
There was over a foot of snow back home and we're riding bikes over here? What the?
So glad we went and all siblings and families could spend Thanksgiving together, we are blessed.
