Back to Dumb and Dumber, that's pretty much how Clay and I felt all day Friday.
We left for Salt Lake that day to celebrate 5 years of some crazy love. We were hoping to make it to the Temple by 1 pm.
We were still trying to park at 1 pm.
Circle, circle, circle. I know their is a parking garage around here somewhere, now if I could just find the entrance.
O about a half hour later,
"We're there!" (There will be lines from Dumb and Dumber through out this entire post, it's my fav. movie) (That part is from one they pull into Aspen, ya know if you were confused.)
After the temple we head to our fav. resturant Iggy's-mmmm deliciousness, best darn fries I've ever had, and Bonzai-the drink.
And no we did not spill salt on the table, phew!
I had been told the Salt Lake City cemetery was cool, well you really don't have to convince me, I love cemeteries.
Since we had such a late start in the day, and were late to just about every other event we went to, we got to the cemetery just before dusk, and in February-brrrrrrr.
Here is Dell H.Sessions, I just thought it fitting since we were visiting Feb. 17th-our anniversary and that is when dear Dell passed.
Quite young too.
And I have never seen a headstone in any other language then English, so this is just neat.
Here we have Clay posing by Pres. David O. McKay's memorial.
I said "smile"
he said "Tiffany we're in a graveyard"
"yeah and I need a picture of you smiling."
That's like what a smirk?
That's like what a smirk?
Here I am by the Hinckley memorial, looking like I have to pee.
I didn't.
But it was so darn cold.
He died on my birthday.
These are cool, I like to think that the headstones are all guarding something really important that they don't want anyone to know what is beneath there square.
Or they were all in a really big fight before they died, but they had already bought the plots, so they just decided to not face each other.
Or they're lying on a trampoline looking up at the stars pointing to all the constellations and having a fabulous time on a clear summer night.
(That last one is my fav. choice)
So we're at the cemetery, it's starting to get late, we better head back into town and get to game. We got lost, good thing our phones have GPS, too bad we didn't pull them out sooner, would have saved us some time.
Don't fret, we found a parking spot and made it just in the nick of time.
Warmin up for the bum kickin
The Jazz played the Wizards that night.
Every time the Jazz made a basket "woot, yeah, clap, clap, clap, you go big tall men!"
Every time the Wizard's made a basket "crickets chirping"
It was awkward
I may or may not have occasionally given a little "hey good job fellas" towards the Wizards, just a couple of times.
Shh don't tell any of the people who were sitting by me, they'd attempt at thowing stuff at me, ya know before I stop em in their tracks.
They gave out free shirts that night. Saweet, we love free.
Does anyone else see the big blue word under the mega tron?
Maybe i'm just a little kid or something, but potty jokes are funny.
What are the odds that the Idaho Falls sumthin or other dancers would be there the night we were?
We should have car pooled, had I only known.
We should have car pooled, had I only known.
Does my nose look that big in all the pictures or just when I'm making ridiculous faces? O wait I do that in all the pictures.
K so get this, I caught my very own washcloth that has the Jazz on it, I know, I know you're jealous. Yeah I've already got it in my laundry pile, it's the bees knees.
Look at Clayton wave it around, we were so lucky to have caught it, truely a magical moment.
Wanna hear the best part of our trip?
Get ready to be shocked
So we decided to save ourselves some moula and drive home that night instead of staying in a hotel.
We're on the road by 9:30, we should be home by 12:30, right?
I'm busy reading The Hunger Games to Clayton
I stop for a minute to get my voice back
I look up at the oncoming sign, hoping Idaho Falls is on there and is like 72 miles or less away
I see Burley and Twin Falls
Um that ain't right?
Cue line from Dumb and Dumber
"man that John Denver's full of%#!# man"
"Lloyd you drove almost a sixth of the way in the wrong direction"
Yep we missed an important junction and we have now added an hour to our drive home.
O so tired.
Don't worry we pulled in around 1:30 and slept likes rocks.
We had an exausting anniversary and craziness but it was super fun.
Here's to another eterntiy of years to go! :)
