Sister, sister

I feel like my last two posts were rather negative. Sorry.
I really am grateful for how things turned out.  Disappointed sure, but so glad Zoey and I are alive and kickin it. And some day when I get over my "post traumatic stress disorder" (thanks for the diagnoses Dr. Lara :)  I will come to peace with everything that happened.
And I think next time I'll just tell the Dr. to place a zipper in my lower abdomen, it's all about saving time.  Probably a pink one, I would have gone green but in the event that it gets infected that would just look gross, unless you went with like a neon green.  Then you would totally be fine.
Yeah neon green, that's what I'll do.
Knowing the hospital tho all they would have is some lame nude color.
They wouldn't let me have a mirror to watch the csec so of course they're not going to have neon green!  I shall have to bring my own.
My parents so graciously watched Miss Lucy for us while I was stuck at the hospital.  They all drove up Wednesday, the day Zoey was born, to meet Miss Midget.
When they arrived I was feeding Zoey under a blanket.  When I was done I lifted the blanket and Lucy saw Zoey and just started giggling.  Giggling for a good minute or two, absolutely precious.
And she begged and begged to hold her.  As you can see.

(please ignore my rather large gut, it looks better now I promise, oh and every other nasty photo of me, I just gave birth people!  And showers aren't an option when your legs don't move, who knew?
Just focus on the two cute sisters bonding, or plotting.  Isn't that what girls do?)

Poor Zoey is always being smothered with kisses, or pacifiers jammed in her mouth while she's peacefully sleeping, or vigorously bounced in the bouncer.  Such a helpful sister.

Grandpa holding the lightweight.
I think she's like holding a small, warm cloud. So light and cozy.

Mmmm some baby lovins.

Baby Zoey got Lucy something.

She got her a baby doll!  One that sucks on binky's and bottles.  That Zoey is so kind.

We actually forgot to bring the doll to the hospital with us, so this is a different night.
We were hoping to go home on Friday but someone had to go and get jaundice so we had to stay an extra day.  And I got a little stir crazy so I pretty much begged my parents to bring my other child up.  I wasn't really allowed to hold Zoey because she needed to be under the light and Clay had been gone all day Thurs because he went back to work since I was being taken care of at the hospital. I needed my Lucy!
So my parents grabbed the doll from our house on the way up to see us for the second time.  Bless their hearts. :)

                                                              Always giving kisses.

Lucy loves her little sister "Baby Zoey".
So much so that to get Lucy to bed we have to pretend to put Zoey to bed so that Lucy doesn't think she's missing out on anything.
There's a whole lot of estrogen in this house but man Clay is so blessed to be surrounded by such beautiful girls, we pretty much rock his world!
We rock it sideways and foreward, backward, upside down, you name it, we rock his world. :)
