Easter 2013

Easter was almost a month ago, so I'd better get this up here or it will be too late.
The Easter Bunny stopped by our house on Saturday and dropped off Lucy's basket.

And a Zoe book for our Zoey.

We then dashed on over to our church for a quick Easter egg hunt, Lucy rocked it.

Dad says Lucy let me see the eggs that you got.
Lucy is showing him but she sees something in the distance.
What could it be?

THE EASTER BUNNY IN THE FLESH!
She was more excited to see the fuzz bunny then to collect candy filled eggs.
We didn't get any pictures with her and the bunz, just a video, and I don't put videos up here, well not often anyway so there you have it.

And then my sister texted me to say they had some baby chicks at their ward get together.
So I snuggled one of the chickies, he was cold. :(

Look at my pretty niece, when did she grow up? Sheesh!

And then we went home and Lucy made a mess of my living room. When you're good at something you should do it often, and so she does. :)

On Sunday after church and a quick walk at a local park, we dyed eggs.

(Lucy's ensemble is an apron I made in college, look at those mad sewing skills)

Awww look how pretty those eggs are

Remember this moment, Zoey is in a dress.  It doesn't happen often, it's too bloody cold to put a baby in a dress.  Someday spring will get here and that will change. She usually hangs out in pjs.  Because if I was a baby and sleeping most the day that's what I would want to wear.

And this is what the eggs looked like after we let Lucy loose. (say that ten times fast, let Lucy loose, let Lucy loose)
She found delight in dropping the eggs in the different bowls.  They only stayed in seconds, as she was constantly rearranging them.

Hey so neat story about the boiled eggs.
I had pinned a couple of things on Pinterest of how to boil eggs.  You know because it's a science.
Anywho, so I boiled the eggs Pinterest style.
As Lucy was dipping and redipping eggs she dropped one on the floor, we were like that's ok we'll just eat it.
It was still raw, not completely but the yellow was still a little gooey.
The funny thing is the pin was titled a fool proof boiled egg.
It was a fabulous Easter non-the-less.
