Werk it

Work it baby work it!
There's something you should know about me.
I hate, nay I loathe running.
People that do it for fun are missing a few brain cells. (I say that with love:)
Well on that note this last Thursday we bought a treadmill.
Who knew?

After I had Lucy I wasn't happy with how I looked but I never did anything.
So when I was pregnant with Zoey I decided that as soon as I was given the clear I was going to work off that baby fat.
And after watching this video, nothing was going to stop me.
I had no excuse after watching that video.
So I went back to my RIPPED class.
I started RIPPED in my very early pregnancy with Zoey and I had hardly any morning sickness with her. I contributed it to that, or maybe I just got lucky.
But either way I loved the class.

RIPPED has been kicking my butt in gear and at first I dreaded going. (not that I'm uber excited to go now)
Anyway I love it, I love the moves, the music, and the people.

Back to the treadmill.
I can't go to RIPPED everyday like I would like to and I don't always want to work out with Billy Blanks (Tae bo), insert treadmill purchase.

The first night I ran just over a mile.
So Clay ran 1.5 miles.
Hmmmm I wasn't going to have that.
The next day I cruised in with 2.5 miles.  I'm very proud of myself.
And after the 1st mile it really wasn't that bad.

This is my view when I work it.  So if you have any extra license plates lying around, we'd love to have them.  (Story to come)

So I hate running but I LOVE music and I love a good story.
To make my workout not too shabby.  I make sure to have good tunes and a story to go with it.
(this is where you realize how off my rocker I really am)
Soooo
Country Girl (shake it for me) by Luke Bryan got my creative juices flowing.
I shook it for Luke, I shook it good.
And then Trouble by Pink came on.
O I was in trouble then, I was running from the Police, (technically I was driving) I was switching between license plates.  Don't worry kids I evaded them!
And then Sk8er Boi by Avril Lavigne came on.  I just acted out the words, that was fun and a little frightening, it tested my balance.
Callin' Baton Rouge by Garth Brooks, another fun one to act out.

I'm having fun and i'm having even more fun purchasing more songs, ya know because the thousands that we have just aren't going to cut it for this broadway treadmiller.

By the end of my workouts I'm covered in sweat (I prefer to call it shimmers) and my joints are achin but What doesn't kill you makes you stronger by Kelly Clarkson.

And as I type this I have discovered Givin the Dog a Bone by AC/DC.  Zoey is jumpin to that one too, so it must be a good moving song.

So there are plenty of color runs in the area, and I'm working on talking Clay into joining me.
It's only a 5k, which is just over 3 miles.
pshhh we can do that right?!
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper
Go and get your shimmer on!

That is awesome tiff! I hate running but I love it is that possible. When it warms up we should run together outside. I very slow thought so you would have to have patience with me.

Kari I LOVE your name! Haha, when I first saw your comment I was SUPER confused.

Anyways Tiffany I love music too, we should get together sometime to see what we have (although you do like country more than me but I'm sure we could get around that). Here are a couple of songs/ artists that are good to work out too/ I love for working out- Kimbra has some good stuff, look up Diamond by Tiesto, As long as you love me by Justin Bieber (not typically a fan but the beat is GREAT for running), Struck by lightning by Frankmusik and One more by Superchick (I found that one while watching Make it or Break it on ABC family haha). Hope I gave you at least one song that is new and that you like and yes people who "like" running are short a couple of brain cells haha, it might be all the jostling of running ;)
