I got a pickle...

...I got a pickle, I got a pickle, hey, hey, hey, hey!
(oh those silly Little Rascals)
When Lucy was a baby I followed everything I was told by the Dr. and what I was reading.
Don't introduce foods before 6 months.
Start them on cereal.
Then introduce veggies and eventually fruit-we wouldn't want them developing a sweet tooth now would we?
Zoey's my second child, her first food was a pickle and it was slightly before the 6 month mark. *gasp!*
"hmm, what is this new-fangled thing I'm holding here?"

"Whatever it is I will slobber it to death and look up at my mom with my fabulously blue eyes"

"this isn't too bad, nom, nom, nom"

"well if Zoey is getting attention and she seems to think this pickle is so amazing maybe I will eat one too!"
(This is where I'm like quick get the camera, Lucy's eating something besides toast and waffles! It's a miracle!)

The blue eyed wonder bunch! What would I ever do without them?
(I'll bet I would get more sleep :)

Zoey has since eaten many other foods.
A couple of days ago Lucy and I were on the couch eating popcorn doin our thing.
Zoey was grumpin the whole time and I couldn't figure it out, until I looked down at her at the right moment, she was reaching for my popcorn.
The poor girl just wanted a taste. ( I may not be a stellar parent but she did not try popcorn)
I whipped out some sweet potatoes for the little t-rex and she snarfed em down like they were a pterodactyl. ( I say that like I even know what that is, it's a dinosaur ok people, isn't it the flying one? Peatree on the land before time?  Am I making this up?
The little beast loves her food, a girl after her Daddy's heart. :)

I'd like to make another note while I've got you captive.  Lucy's eyes are very similar to Clay's shade of blue and Zoey's seem to be a little darker.
And I'm just over here, um I have green eyes.
At least the pickle and I have something in common.

I must be off Zoey has just informed me that she would like to suck on my fingers.  How do I know this? She's slamming her chubby hands against the desk and slobbering my arm.
It really doesn't get much better than this. :)
