Christmas festivities

We've been going a little insane over at the Pace household, all within about 3 weeks.  But we still managed to have some fun as well because we're yellows and that means we like to have fun! :)

I was sick the Saturday before Christmas.  I had spent the previous night throwing up all night.  It was every hour.  I never thought I would be so comfortable around a toilet.  I set up a little bed next to it and then when that horrible, terrible feeling came I mustered all the strength I had to lean up against the toilet and throw up my liver, kidneys, and pancreas.  I remember leaning against the toilet all sweaty thinking "I'll bet that porcelain would feel nice and cool against my face"  Don't worry I never went that far.
So my point was that we took it really easy that weekend.
Except that Lucy and Clay ditched poor sick Zoey and I to go see the movie Frozen, buggars. :)

Anyway so we made gingerbread houses, except they were out of graham crackers-even easier.
I put Lucy in charge of the trees/sugar cones.

Zoey was in charge of shaking the M&M's and looking adorable. Nailed it!

Clay was the construction manager.

I supervised the whole affair, decorating where things needed perfected.

And then when our masterpiece (that looks like it went through a horrible earthquake) was finished we pushed away our pride and snapped a picture, pj's and all!

That peppermint fence was built by yours truly!  The drunk snowman was done by the Mr.

And by Christmas Eve I was back to my bossy self, Zoey was doing better but not 100% and Clay had contracted the disease. :(
I wanted to make life a little more hectic and chaotic so I decided to make some sugar cookies, ya know for Santa.  (Don't worry we didn't share any of these, we didn't want to spread sickness and misery)
So that afternoon we set to work.

The girls were freshly bathed and sporting their new Christmas Eve pj's.

By Christmas day everyone was feeling much, much better.  We did share our cookies with Santa but he told us sickness doesn't effect him, so we're cool.

I'm trying to figure out what we did to tick Santa off so badly that we got the flu for Christmas tho?  I certainly would have preferred a lump of coal.
Everyone pray for little Lucy.  She's the only one who hasn't caught this nasty bug!!
