You remember January? Yeah me neither, thank goodness I took photo's so I could relive it.
One of my most favorite features of our new home is that it has a lovely backyard that is fully fenced.
So if I want to get something done I bundle the girls up and shove them outside.
It works better now that their isn't snow on the ground because little Zoey is a clumsy walker on the most stable ground so tall, fluffy snow is just pathetic.
So I bundled Lucy poo up and shoved her out.
Zoey: "ayayay, wowowo, mamama, wehroeih"
*Translation: Lucy, open the door and let me out, quick before Mom sees!"
Zoey: "zazaza yayaya, oiwoeireo, woeuroie"
*Translation: "Mom, how could you? Please let me out! I promise I won't wake you up in the middle of the night anymore!" sob sob sob
She would just run back and forth between me and the door, it was pitiful.
And then even got to make a snowman!
The horror!
Don't worry we didn't keep her completely cooped up, she finally managed to convince Grandpa to take her out.
AND on March 30th when we woke up to snow and it snowed ALL day long we all bundled up and goofed off in the snow. So you see we're not the cruelest parents as you were suspecting.
And now that their isn't snow on the ground they both get to go out whenever they want, or I want.
And every time Lucy comes in and Zoey squeals at her to get back out there. (as do I)
I end up chasing Zoey down and dragging her in, tears and all. Oh the outdoors and all the joy that it brings to children.
Stupid game. And it's painful trying to get her to win, when really your competitive nature just wants to take over and crush her at Gumdrop Pass.
You see my flowers on the table? My birthday was this month, yay for getting older!
Do you see the maniacs I live with?! Ha I love it!
Cheap shaving cream and food coloring, ready, set go!
Z: Really? You're going to let me touch this? You know I'll make a mess right?
Me: Yes Zoey mess away!
We've now received all, well hopefully, hospital bills from the last 2 months.
And can you believe that Clay's ordeal cost slightly less than Zoey's?
Let me give you a run down.
Let me give you a run down.
Clay had surgery and was charged by the Dr., anesthesiologist, pathologist, breathing specialist, stayed in recovery for around 6 hours, and was given hard meds often.
Zoey on the other hand was in the hospital for 4 hours just being observed and was given 3 affordable meds. And yet her bill is more.
Who knew?
Here's to modern medicine while incredibly useful and even lifesaving, but incredibly expensive!
You wanna know what Zoey was allergic to?
Ya us too!
We were going to have her tested and then I learned that that involved injecting her back with all the different allergens over the course of 3 hours and costing about the same price as her hospital bill.

As thrilling as trying to keep a 17 month old happy for 3 hours while she gets poked and is itchy sounded, I opted to just take nuts out of her life and wait til she is older to discover the true cause.
She had been eating a trail mix at the time of the breakout that had cashews in it, so that's what we're going off of.
And I have benedryl handy and I can be to the hospital in about 5 minutes!
But here's hoping we never have to do any of that!
