Zoom, zoom

So some friends of ours from WA were getting married Mother's Day weekend.  And we didn't want to miss out on their celebration so we made the trip up there.
Goobers and snot that's a long trip.
It can be difficult for me to get time off so we made it a quick trip and did not invite our offspring.
We drove all day Friday, spent the day their on Saturday and then drove home on Sunday.

See this is a photo of us about half way to Vancouver, WA.  We're still pleasant here but for the love could we get there already!
(Let's face it we're not travel people.  And Clay was dealing with bronchitis, that we didn't know he had until we got back.)
But we're adorable to look at none the less.

While there we had a tiny visit with some family members.
Ahhh baby!!!

Ya know I get this look a lot but it's usually not from someone so young.
Apparently she can see through my shenanigans.

Don't tell our kids that we left them in ID and went and played with this sweetheart ok?
But seriously Lucy and Zoey would have LOVED playing with her!

So um, I forgot to bring the camera to the actual wedding.
It happens ok.
I didn't see you drive there and back in 22 hrs.

Sooo to keep ourselves entertained we decided to take a picture every hour to see how the scenery changed.
And I tried to write down some random commentary that was going on in the car.

Clay and I like to banter with each other about ID vs WA rather often.
I mean obviously ID is cooler. (he's not on here to defend his state, HAR HAR!)
Anywho he always talks about how ID is so dry and brown, bleh.
I always say WA is beautiful but I'm claustrophobic there, I feel like I'm suffocating. I can't see more than 20 ft in front of me.  Either the trees are blocking your point of view or the fog is.
The point is that behind these never ending trees lies the Columbia River and all it's splendor and I couldn't quite get a shot of it because of the foliage.  Foliage is good tho.

Clay: Which gang do you want to join?
Tiff: I think I'll go with Tofu.
Clay:  I'm joining Buick.
We both decided if we can't read what it says then we don't want to be a part of it.  So it's a good thing Tofu and Buick came through for us.

Clay:  Looks fun!  We should go ice blocking. Probably die.
Tiff; Yeah
Clay: Pretty good chance we would die.

Ahhh the tree farms, just an interesting thing to see.  They're perfectly lined up.

Just staring at this photo makes me sick.
So Clay has a gaming device called a Vita.
I went to play and a game on it.
Clay: It's wind-y up here and going to make you sick, you probably don't want to play it now. Besides it's pretty here.  Don't worry their will be plenty of time in ID, it's dead and brown there.
You see what I put up with.

We "argue" about ID vs WA but their is one thing we can agree on.  Oregon, you suck!
45 mph really? Move it hippies!
Tiff: I just saw a 3 legged dog running along side the road that was going faster.  For the love! Guys come on.  We are on the freeway doing 38 mph.  I go faster than that every single day and my way to work!

You farted!  I hate you! (we'll leave it up to your imagination of who is yelling that at who.  Just so you know ladies don't fart, in case you forgot)

I think it was about here where Clay tried to guilt me into having another child.
He said that we needed to have a boy to carry on the Pace name.
Really Clay?  Really?  My name is dead because my sis and I took on our spouses names, ain't got no sympathy here.
Guilt me into having a child, pbbbbt!  Nice try wise guy!

Aaaand start the music!!!  Bum ba da bum, ta dum!
"And here we have Idaho!  Winning her way to fame!"
If you'd like to sing a long please join in.

 Brown and dead my femur.

*If you don't watch Top Gear you probably won't find this as funny as we did. Actually this whole post is probably lame to you because you weren't trapped in a car for 22 hours.
Clay: Remind me to wash the wind screen when we stop.
Tiff:  You mean the windshield? Been watching too much of that Top Gear have we?  Look Clay their goes a lori!

Loook!  Looook!  Lava rock!  We're there man!

My most favorite picture from the whole trip!!!

Even the puppy was happy to see us.
Drive safe ya'll!
