Memorial day weekend was an intense one. All, except Lucy, had been sick the previous week and were just getting better as the weekend came on.
So we were taking it easy.
But I wanted to make it to the flag display that they do at my favorite park.
It started to rain just as we were pulling in and that meant they were taking the flags down.
So we're pretty lucky that we did get to see them.
Zoey is a goof and likes to make faces. She also does not appreciate this rain. Little did she know that we would have monsoon weather for the month of June.
Clay loves me even when my excursions seem to go awry, a little rain only heart the wicked witch of the ....East? West? No, no East. So we're totally fine.
Altho I will admit to being just a tad bit nervous...at the top of that hill is a Veteran's Memorial that's metal. It was thundering, just a touch nerve wracking. We're good tho!
Another plus their were bagpipers playing. That was awesome, Clay thought it too awkward to take photo's of random men in kilts so use your imagination.
God bless the USA!
And God bless those who protect it!
