My little flower children.
I was too lazy to sand said chair down, so instead I applied 2 coats of primer as well as 2 coats of my navy blue paint. It's already chipping off but it's cool I still like it. And it doesn't sit on my front porch, it's in the play room. Because I am a woman and therefore change my mind rather often.
1. Summers are waaay too busy
2. To really enjoy it ( if you're a sissy pants like us) It needs to be 90 degrees inside the pool, that only happens when it's in the 90's-100's outside and your heater is running like a champ.
3. Pools are so much work, trying to keep the ph and chlorine at acceptable levels
4. Spiders like to hang around them, ewwwy, icky, yuck.
5. It's pretty much always windy here, in a pool that's chilly.
6. Did I mention summers are out of control busy?
We finally found a day to play in the pool and spent pretty much the entirety of the day swimming.
What better way than to relax pool side than with a big bowl full of warm popcorn.
She's a nut.
We created an obstacle course in our back yard as well to whip those whipper snappers into shape.
The agility course was taken very seriously with tongue sticking out for correct technique.
Zoey was less than thrilled with our shenanigans.
Awww she's happy. Nope, she's crying because she wants us to get her down. One of those I wish she had taken a nap days.
Since the sun rose around 5:30 or so it seemed. I decided to get up at 6 and go on morning walks/funny jog meant to be run. I hated getting up but I loved being outside and seeing nature wake up. I especially loved that I rarely ran into people. Just me and Bella.
On the other side of our neighborhood their is a small park neighbored by fields. I was walking over there watching the sunrise and the looming storm clouds heavy with rain ready to pounce on me.
I noticed two pink lines parallel in sky. The more I walked the more the sun rose and I could see those lines were the sides of a rainbow but with the sun rising they were pink. Tis gorgeous.
Never in my wildest dreams did I see myself excitably talking about nature, let alone the sun rising.
This isn't the photo but it reminded me of that moment.

I love this post, especially the obstacle course! So fun. Also if you don't want your rocking chair to chip you can always smooth off the chipping parts a tiny bit with sand paper and put a polycrylic on it.
