Happy Mother's Day!

These two made my mother's day marvelous!
Lucy thought it was super fun sitting on dad's shoulders, altho you can't tell that by her expression.

She has soo much fun chatting on the phone, and every time she gets ahold of my phone she puts it to her ear and says "hi".  Silly kid.
So back to mother's day, it was pretty much just about the food.  I had ribs for dinner on Saturday night, oo and we went to orange leaf and I had pina colada-yumm!  And on Sunday, Clay made Navajo tacos.

 Fresh cilantro? Yes please.
 mmm yum!

Lucy thought it was delicious as well.
After Navajo tacos and scones with honey butter we had slushies.  Lucy LOVED it!
You share once with her and suddenly she turns into a mooch! :)
She was so excited and jumping up and down and making squawking noises
Dad was too slow so she had to take matters into her own hands
 Literally!
Clay pampered me all day and Lucy even left her bow in her hair for all of church (truly a miracle).  And I bought myself some earrings (I'm lame and like to pick out my own gifts.) They're peacock feather earrings-um awesome!
And on a diff. note this is Lucy with her buddy Lenny, her Aunt Amy gave him to her for Christmas and she just digs this little lamb. She gives him love bites and squeezes him tight, it's very cute to see.
One last note, I got this in my bountiful basket on Saturday, what the snot is it?

It looks like a Jicama. Check out the description here... http://www.melissas.com/Products/Categories/Vegetables.aspx?rows=60&page=3. Very tasty. Except, I don't think it has a nutty flavor. Its more like a mix between and apple and a fresh pea. Pretty good!
