I have this addiction to reading crafty blogs (who doesn't) and I jump from one to the next. I found a blog that told you how to frame your boring old contractors mirror, um yes I would like to do that and Rhonda sure made it sound easy so sign me up! But a white bathroom? Please we can do better than that. So we started our project on a Friday at 8:30 pm (we had just put Lucy to bed). 4 or 5 hours later I have choclate ice cream all over my walls, at least that's what I thougth it looked like, mmmm I do love ice cream.
How very boring and plainNo frame on that mirror? How awful!
Ta da! A mirror! Hanging the frame up took forever! We used liquid nails to glue the mirror to the wall and it takes 72 hours to dry and then we could finally hang the frame, using liquid nails again, but it kept sliding, um pain in the rear! So we taped it up, painters tape is crap! I eventually used hot glue from a glue gun, magic! Who knew that would actually work? I shoulda taken Rhonda's advice long ago.
My, my doesn't that look so much better?
Mmm chocolate!
How did this picture sneak in? Must be cuz I thought the little monkey was cute climbing on her princess car. I'll have you know she is not teething at the moment and has gotten over her cold, halli-freakin-lu-jah!
Also, my very drab yard with terribly tall weeds and pleanty of dirt is getting a makeover next week! Woot! Pictures to come.
O one more thing here is the link to where I got my directions for the mirror frame http://southernhospitalityblog.com/framing-those-boring-mirrors/
Just a word of warning it was harder then she conveyed
