Isn't it just sad?
Mr. Corolla was struck, he was struck hard.
On the evening of Feb. 29th between the hours of 5 and 6 pm Clayton was traveling east bound ( I actually have no idea which direction he was traveling as I am really bad with the N, S, E, W jiv.)
East sounds legit tho.
The weather conditions were snowy with a nice touch of slippery ice. Clay was stopped at a 4 way stop waiting his turn, when BAM, Mr. Corolla was struck. Ouch.
You wanna know the stomach wrenching o shoot why o why part?
We've had this car on full coverage since it joined Clay's family.
We've had this car on full coverage since it joined Clay's family.
Last month we finally moved it to liability.
One month, one stinkin month it's on liability and whipeadee do slipa de do.
Here's another fun little tidpit
The other guy didn't have insurance.
O poor Mr. Corolla
All right enough of the wo is me.
Huge blessings come from trials right?
The fact that Clay is still alive and well, is enough to make me a happy camper, I kinda love him, a lot, no a little, yep a lot. yes for sure a lot. :)
Grateful no one was in front of Clay so that Mr. Corolla didn't get sandwiched, causing more damage then this.
Grateful Miss Lucy wasn't in the back seat. (me too for that matter, I don't really handle these situations well, who knew?)
Grateful this little champ is still running.
Clay and I had decided years ago we would keep this car til he passed to the other side. He's been very reliable and we have sold two younger cars instead of him, we must like Mr. Corolla.
Clay was absolutely convinced that the tail lights weren't working and when he pulled him in the garage and tested the breaks he asked "ok which ones aren't working"
Clay they're all working!
Clay they're all working!
He's alive!
This 1993 corolla lives on.
And so we have decided to embrace our white trashedness and keep driving this little man til he croaks. (maybe we shouldn't commit, what if he lives another 10 years and we want an upgrade?)
So if you see this little man around town, give him a little encouraging honk. Cuz dang he's pert near amazing.
Can I just add that if you are thinking liability is enough, you are wrong.
Keep your car on full coverage, had this been fully covered we wouldn't have to embrace our whitetrashedness.
(Because who wants to spend their tax return on a car, I have better plans for that!)
Also driving around town without insurance is indeed illegal, so please get insured.
*Don't tell Clay I said this, but he was right, we should have left it on full coverage. Shhhh.*
