Ahhh the beginning of summer!!!
I went to Lucy's last day of school where they had a cute little program showing off all their skills.
She LOVED her teacher and has a hard time going to first grade because she loved her so much, change is hard.
Ms. Kirby was great with Lucy and helped Lucy with her timidness so that she could enjoy going to school.
And as soon as the weather was agreeable on a day that I was off we filled up the pool and splashed around.
I had to be the evil octopus who was capturing the mermaids, it's a rough life. They attempted to save themselves with their wands, but I had eight legs so really they had no chance.
Back in my day they called it father/son camp out. Now they call it priesthood commemoration so that the father's with girls can take them on the camp out with them. (My Dad always took me anyway, because we're cool like that.) Lucy had a blast having Dad all to herself and exploring nature.
I purchased myself a hammock for the lazy days of summer.
They're a little intimidating to get into but once you're in and cozy all is well.
Except for the sun, if I could just block it a little bit.
And the whole fear of falling on the cement, need to find a new location.
Oh Bella you're ridiculous!
Our first harvest, we are plentiful in lettuce. I feel this way every year, I'm tired of salads by July. Next year I'll plant my lettuce a little later so I can enjoy it with the spinach.
All dressed up for church and showing off their mad coloring skills.
My baby went and grew up and lost another tooth! It was in there long enough, the permanent as you can see, was more than ready to make a place of it's own.
Yay for blood.
I enjoy sunrise/early morning walks in the summer. I wasn't as good at doing them this year because of the morning sickness but when I did Bella and I sure enjoyed them.
Just enjoying the "wildlife".
Why did the chicken cross the road?
Bella is yet again pleading with me to save her, I just laugh and say "they're your puppies, you do something."
After Clay's sister Nancy and her family came and saw us in May they took compassion on our lack of air conditioning situation. (I think we just roasted them and they didn't want to visit again unless their was air. :)
So our bro in law got us a screaming good deal on a unit and installed it for us. The kids came to play with us as well.
I'd like to point out that this is a day that I was at work and Clay let Lucy and Zoey wear whatever they wanted, obviously. Because you never know when you're going to need shin guards and a tutu.
*As a side note I usually let my kids whatever they want, their is just usually a little more guidance in pattern and weather wear. :) It's a good thing they're cute and I can't wait to show these pictures to her when she's older and complains about my style.
Cousins are the best!
Instructions were unclear. :)
