Pace Reunion 2016

We made our way to Washington in July for the Pace family reunion.
To break up the trip a little we stopped at Multnomah Falls.  Kind of didn't think that one through tho, we got there in the afternoon the Saturday before the fourth of July.  SO incredibly busy, I haven't seen it that busy.

We started to cross this bridge but soon got no where so turned around and got back in the car.

What better way to celebrate posterity than to shoot arrows at targets.

All the little people get together and interrupt the busy adults setting up their tent.  Quick bounce on their bed and get pine needles all over it!
Don't forget to look cute and innocent.

Have you heard of the enchanted Forest?  http://www.enchantedforest.com/
Tis a place located in Oregon that is designed to look like fairy tales and has delightful rides for the wee ones to enjoy. We stopped off at Arby's for lunch and then partied at the forest.

Clayton so graciously got me addicted to Burgerville's black forest cherry milkshake.
I cannot buy those at home since we do not have a Burgerville but I make it a point to go when we are there.  And this little stink stole my milkshake.
So as not to disappoint you this shake is seasonal and is not available in the summer.  Imagine my disappointment when we went in July. Raspberry was an obvious second choice, still good.

I pert near froze to death while we were there. Being that it was July when we went I didn't pack many warm outfits.  My dear niece offered me a pair of sweat pants, I totally rocked them!

Clayton was embarrassed to be seen with me in such attire so I made sure to smother him in hugs and kisses in the public's eye. Letting others know that we are indeed madly, deeply and disturbingly love.

July 4th is my favorite holiday, I love that their are no strings attached to it, the only expectation is that you eat a ton of good bbq'd food, have fun with family and friends, watch an incredible display of fireworks, and remember how incredibly blessed you are to live where you live and for the lives that were given so that you could. After all the song "I'm Proud to be An American" has been stuck in my head for the last 8 years.  Seriously tho I break out singing it at the most random times, my offspring sing it with me.

In case you can't tell I'm wearing two jackets, brrrrr!

Lucy was terrified of the fireworks which came as a complete surprise because she has been to them before and never had a problem.  We put some headphones on her and had her sit on my lap. She calmed right down.  I just have that calming spirit about me. (How dare you laugh at me! ;)

Uncle Jeremy came through with the big fireworks, totally awesome!

Enjoying some cousin time by the water.  Must splash rocks into the stream.

Looking for some skipping rocks.

Good job Clay, I think you found a good one.

Tiffany was due for her daily nap, thank goodness Aunt Amy took over and baked blueberry pies with the small ones.

Quick go out there so we can launch these water balloons at you!

 Get her!

She was happily chasing her Mom and spraying her with water.

It's cool, Zoey has her back.

Our traditional sister in law photo.

HEeeey Sexy Lady! (I'd appreciate it if you sang that just like it is in the song, makes for better presentation.)
